Survived the ides of March… now St Pats day… nice slight cinnamon, nutmeg, and hint of vanilla… a nice amd banced brew… in an unusual twist, would lime to try in a Bottle…

A pretty good BBA stout - boozy, rich, thick, and very coffee forward, with a hint of vanilla finish… I like it, but expected a bit more… let it warm. and it’s still really good, not great! Maybe a slight but too coffee forward? Would like to try on nitro

Slight cherry finish, there is a hint off the barrel in there, but it’s far from overwhelming…This is an interesting beer, glad I tried it, would like to try on draft or nitro, not sure I would get more in bottles… the ABV is only 8%, not sure I would age

I can’t stews the enough… you had me at nitro… if you have not had this on nitro, the terrorists have won! ;-) Such a raspberry forward, smooth, slightly sweet, and creamy beer… huzzah!

Oh my… the vanilla, booze, chocolate, and bourbon all manage to play nice on this one… it is really quite tasty… a little more rough than the MT stouts am used to, but this is also 4+points higher…

You had me at nitro! This is awful in a bottle, but damn near magic on nitro… quite nicely raspberry and slightly sweet/fruit forward… … the nitro abides…

Another D’Fish head that did not age particularly well... I am sure it would have been great a few years ago... but the raspberry went a little too far and soured (not in a good way). Ended up a drain pour. Abstaining from rating.

Not quite the dank juice bomb I though this might be...With four types of hops (fresh, liquid, pellet, and powdered) I had more hope for this beer... it’s not bad, but not Dogfish Head great... meh, slight citrus/tropical, but little depth or mouthfeel...

Another back of fridge winner that did not age well... I was looking forward to this one, especially being Dogfish Head... sigh... Abstain from review.

I wanted to like this one better... out of the bottle the sweet/fruit/raspberry was prominent, with just a little of the booziness at the finish... as it warms I am not sure it got any better...

Previous check in... Not my favorite type o’ beer... I paid more attention to the Mikkeller Beer Hop thing and no attention to this being a black IPA style. It also did not help that this might not have been “super fresh”/back of fridge... colder=better?

I really, really wanted to like this one - I get the chocolate/coffee forward, with a hint of the maple sweetness, but there is a finish I am not fond of and don’t really care for... I think any of the BA MT Monsters Park stouts are far more balanced...

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) H
Founders barrel aged program tends to set a high bar in this category and KBS is no exception... bourbony, boozy, and heavy on the coffee side this time... Highly Recommended!

Smooth and creamy standard stout... with a light coffee forward finish that fades into chocolate goodness...wish the coffee was more present, still a really good nitro stout. Recommended. Note: this is the base for CBS and KBS, both very worth trying out.

Wow... a lot to break down here... maple sugar sweetness, bourbon barrel booziness, and aged stout smoothness... yum... sweet breakfast in a glass!
