For me, a near perfect balance of fruit, sourness, and sweetness. Prominent sourness becomes more Raspberry character in the finish.

Snowbound Vanilla Porter

Much more vanilla sweetness in aroma than flavor. A bit overly bitter. I love Founders porter, but this misses, for me.

Jule Mælk (2013)

Almost has a vinous aroma. A bit sweet, a touch chocolatey. Flavor is very fruity, reminiscent of an old ale but with a distinct tart fruity character and a very roasty, still fairly hot finish. Good, but overpriced.

Prefer the 2013. Seems is retained more hop character, less alcohol.

A bit more lively than the 2011. Not much heat left. I prefer this to the 2011 and 2015.

Backwoods Bastard (2015)

2015 Very Bourbon forward aroma, a touch of sherry. Flavor is similar, but any oxidation is welcome complexity. Still has some heat.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2011)

2011 strong dark fruit aroma, with roast malt and sherry. Flavor doesn't show coffee. Bourbon and heat are still there, asking with fruity undertones. More chocolate presence at this point, like a Bourbon ball.
