Decent early teens throwback, but for now I should want a fuller malt profile. Covers all the [pick any ~2010] breakfast/coffee/bourbon stout bases

Proof that not everything BA is automatically good. Smells and tastes like that morning coffee machine backwash with all the chemicals still in. Astringent and unpleasant, distant stoutiness, striking acidiry. Ugly

Lacks depth, comes of bitter and you would expect more from a bourbon cask. Maybe Thats why they covered it in 1 cm og wax. To keep people from the content.

Lovely balanced taste with intense roasted richness and some sweetness to go against but the smell is a tad too smoked for me

Very boozy. Sweet start with an acidic aftertaste. IMO not deserving of the lofty ratings. Maybe it’s old?

Green coffee notes meets a syrupy base with a light kiss of bourbon. Syrup vs green coffee sort of neutralizes the green pepper notes even if there. Light gluey touch to the sweetness. Hoped for more bourbon barrels and didn't expect the gluey notes...
