Stout - Imperial / Double Pastry

This beer is a blend of 3 different base beers, using some of the ingredients from Mash Test Yummies. It was a case of having some wood barrels available and some spare beer to trial together and see how it came out after a year of aging. We hope you'll agree that it worked out very nicely!

Het seizoen is toch nog enigszins geslaagd door twee keer de derby winnend op onze naam te zetten. Daarentegen was de spanning iets minder in onze straat vanwege een stroomstoring. Het werd dus ouderwets buurten met elkaar. Leuk, maar nergens spannend.

Pastry non troppo da pasticceria; sembra di sentire il lattosio, che però non dovrebbe esserci, sono impiegati altri zuccheri in compenso, e neanche poco. Poi arrivano le botti, Bourbon e Rye, ed anche l’equilibrio: si secca e l’alcol si giustifica. 4,20.

Pours an oily black with no head. Bourbon dominate on the nose with some nuttiness and chocolate malts. Bourbon on tasting too, hazelnut, black treacle, dark chocolate with some rye spice on the finish. Well balanced. Sticky body and boozy. Very good.
