White Wedding (2022)

Stout - Imperial / Double Pastry

Brewed with coffee and lactose sugar and aged in white port barrels for over a year, White Wedding is a full-bodied imperial stout that showcases a complex blend of coffee and honey-like flavors, along side barrel-aged characters of oak, almonds and toffee, White Wedding is a rich, smooth, and slightly fruity drinking experience.

Forfærdelig øl… smager af rævepis. Bestemt ikke anbefalesværdigt. Kan til nøds drikkes. Meget kraftig i smagen

For sprittet, for lidt bund og dybde, nærmest ingen humle

Blød men skarp. Syrlighed fra hvid portvins fadet.

Unfortunately not my kind of beer. The "dried raisins" from the barrels is a bit too much for me.

Nose is coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is kind of strange. There’s a wine-like taste all the way through. Quite overpowering. In the background you can taste the classic stout notes. Chocolate, coffee. It’s not really my style.

My first thought is “fruity and sweet” and I guess that comes from the barrel ageing, although I probably wouldn’t have guessed if I didn’t know. It has a full body and. bit of bitterness too … but overall it’s not very good or something I’d want again.

Rich and tasty - but maybe the taste contributions from the white port wine doesn’t quite compliment the stout flavors
