Lots of coffee, and LOTS of yeast. Sweet for a black IPA, but not unpleasant.

Previous check in... Not my favorite type o’ beer... I paid more attention to the Mikkeller Beer Hop thing and no attention to this being a black IPA style. It also did not help that this might not have been “super fresh”/back of fridge... colder=better?

Bottle cap reads: FO:10/17/16 soooooo i expected it to be super buttery! It was not super buttery it was very good!

Never had something quite like this. Coffee and roast up top, pretty hoppy and aromatic at the end.

‘Cuz it’s Monday and I took the day off. Let’s call it Election Day Pre-game. This is a solid beer. Smooth coffee throughout with no bitterness and the right amount of hops. #ilovemondays

This is pretty old so not going to rate it. Not bad, coffee faded to almost nothing and the hops faded somewhat too although not as much as I would have thought. At least it’s not a carb bomb like most Mikkeller stuff.

Beer hop dinner. This one is good on the malty sweet side for an IPA but it’s delicious.

Bottled 10/10/2016. Hoppy, bitter, roasty. Coffee flavors. Lightly creamy. Fairly balanced overall.

I get the coffee but not much hops. Maybe a more balanced bitterness? Definitely strong!

Очень богатое и многогранное послевкусие. Кофейный диапазон от эспрессо до латте с капуччино. Немного бы все же приглушил солод, хоть он и на вторых ролях. Весьма оригинальный микс портеровсих, темно-лагерных и стаутных «треков». Первый офиц. black IPA.

Tasty, as the style goes. Almost like a porter, it is so dark. Love the roasty malts and coffee notes. Needed to be fresher for me, though. I can’t stand isovaleric acid, and it is definitely in there. Probably would have rated over a 4 without it.
