Caramel, smooth and yeasty. Strong alcohol flavor but with surprising smoothness.

A barleywine to help forget about the upcoming work week. Notes of caramel, brown sugar & dried fruit (figs), dry with a bitter finish.

First time at Miramar Mikkeller which used to be Alesmith according to the bartender. Good ol regular barleywine.

Yeah, well, it's actually 14.4 ABV!! And actually also pretty good, pretty sweet, it's barley wine, yeah! I was so scared it'd be Belgian farmhouse ale but it wasn't, yeah! 2 years in the cellar, smooth! Smooth yeah, yeah smooth.

(3.6) bb ‘19 - Clear oxidation w. sherry, no cardboard but a slight staleness to it. Other than that it carries rich dark fruits, candy and toffee sweetness along w. malty caramel vibes. Finish is boozy warmth, fruity & sweet. Weak carbonation. Don’t age

I'm usually very fond of barley wine, but this really missed the mark

Very earthy and hoppy. Also bitter. But sweet malt in the back. Interesting. Probably past its prime.
