RB2016 On tap. Jet black, nice brown head and quite good lacing. Aromas of coffee, little bit chocolate and spices. First sips with little heat, then lightly sweet with bitterness in the finish. Medium to full body, creamy with very pleasant mouthfeel.

This is a weird ass beer. Lots of ingredients but what it narrows down to for me are overly roasted herbal chilis. Doesn’t smell too good either. Doubt I’ll finish this bottle.

Vintage bottle; Loads of cocoa & dark 🍫 on the 👃🏻, toasted & roasted malts, bread crust, notes of dried chilies, earth; Big body & texture for just 6.6% abv, very harmonious, gentle brown sugar sweetness cut by roast bitterness, cocoa, coffee, chilies

Every sip I take is a different story. I have no idea what is happening with this beer

Don’t know if I got a bad bottle, but this is terrible. All I get is ultra bitter chocolate malt - no sweetness at all.

John S. Advent #16: What a truly interesting brew. I feel like I can taste each component. The spice is subtle which is good (not a big fan of spicy beers) but I feel like the bean comes through more than it should....

Not my favourite Mexican stout- but it’ll do. Nothing like a beer in front of the fire while winter camping.

Not awful but not good, either. Too bitter for my taste, didn't get the flavor of most of the ingredients because the dark/roasted/bitter flavors were strong.

Odd ingredients (Avocado, black beans) for a decent spiced beer. There is a slight heat from peppers, but mostly get the bitter from the cocoa. Dark black and tight brown head.

7 yrs later and still great. 7 yrs later and I still don’t know what an avocado leaf tastes like. Wish I had the tequila version.

Enjoyed the bitterness of the coffee. Too much smoke for my palate to rate it any higher.

Very malty and hearty, the chocolate and coffee initially overpower most of the other flavors. Spice and complexity come in on the finish, though not much heat. Very smooth and satisfying.

Better that expected with the ingredient list on the label. Cocoa. RBC.

This is a really good stout. The adjuncts are lost on me, though, probably due to the beer’s age. I do get the faintest bit of chili heat halfway through the glass.

Served with nachos. Hints of lime. Bitter with coffee notes, cacao, and maybe black bean. Spiced.

Was recommended by the shop keeper at a local beer store. After tasting it I figure there must of been a bet between the employees on who could sell this shit first. Almost lost a friend over this recommendation.
