Pretty sweet. Very good. Most likely prefer the OG Bastard but I'd drink this again. Great pairing with fresh elk meat.

Last nite on the deck. Just like cinnamon French toast. But too sweet for my liking

Its the black one… tasty but not as good as 903 or Lakewood’s French toast brew. Syrupy indeed.

Great aroma. Initial taste is nice but then it is just all cinnamon from there on out. Waaaaay too heavy handed on the cinnamon. Hardly getting any of the barrel character, just a fireball type of burn from the cinnamon.

It's like maple syrup, but worth a lot of alcohol

Just a little sweet for me. But I guess that is what they are going for.

Enjoy the backwoods regular variant better. Sweet maple and totally French toast.

Backwoods bastard is great, this is not as good, with very sweet start all maple syrup smell and some toasted flavors the original dirty/angry bastard is lost. Haying said that, the flavor is still good just should have named it something different imho.

#sundaymorningstout It’s been forever since I had a Founders, the Bastard series was the good ole days. This one has a pretty thin mouthfeel but hits the French Toast profile well and pairs great with bacon for bkfst. Cheers to a great holiday week!🍻

I loved a lot about the beer but a back note lands a little wrong for me

I literally googled "French lesser Tiffani Amber Thiessen", which was of no help. SO, bonjour Sophie Marceau !
