Malty and sweet throughout. Worth the try but would classify as a dessert beer

Sweet maple nose w/ a hint of cinnamon. Big maple up front that is too sweet, even when the cinnamon adds some spice to balance. A little earthy/bitter finish that doesn't quite fit. Overall breakfast in a glass, but the sweetness is too much.

I can't decide if I love this or hate it. Maple flavor is a bit overpowering and a bit on the artificial side.

That’s fucking good! Taste and smells exactly the same. Nails the flavor.

Damn good brew. Tons of maple and may be too sweet for some but I’m a fan. Smooth without booze. Kinda wish there was more barrel coming through.

Wow. French toast maple overload. May change my rating to 4.5 after I let it warm. Really impressive

Literally liquid French toast. Great flavors but the sweetness is a bit too much.

Wow! Founders has done it again. Sweet with strong hints of cinnamon and vanilla. French toast for after dinner treat, who would have thought. Will have to invest in anther 4-pack.

Definitely taste the maple. Unfortunately not a lot else.

This may possibly be my favorite Founders beer to date, and that says a lot. Wow. Don’t even know where to start.

Straight up French toast. Tastes a little burnt otherwise would be nearly perfect.

An interesting blend. Heavy Cinnamon notes overwhelm the standard Backwood Bastard, but it's smooth, goes down nicely, with both sweet and spicy notes.

Holy moley this ones amazingly well done! A taster of maple syrup!

Outstanding!! Sweetness of the maple syrup cuts the booziness in half.

Not quite as great as I remember the limited draft only batch a couple years ago, but still quite good. About my ceiling level of sweetness and a bit thin, but great flavor and feel

Almost pastry stout level sweet. Maltier backbone. Moderate bourbon flavors. Mostly French toast.

Big syrupy cinnamon. A bit of the bastard is noticable underneath but the maple cinnamon is pritty strong

You definitely taste vanilla and cinnamon. It's almost like drinking liquid French Toast. The finish has a bit of a bite.

I can taste a little butter as well. So complex and spot on... Amazing taste!
