Not too over the top with the maple, but it hits just right in the aftertaste. Medium to low body, which is malt forward, but tamed a bit with the barrel notes.

This beer definitely tastes better than the picture depicts. Ass crack never crossed my mind as the beer went down.

Liquid French toast with bourbon maple syrup. Aging has helped it a great deal.

Aroma triggered memories of syrup slathered pancakes / French toast / waffles! Aunt Jemima more than maple. As expected very sweet backbone. Alcohol pronounced. Smooth and light bodied which is unexpected. Almost has a light spice - hint of cinnamon?

Murky amber pour thin tan ring. Super maple syrup and booze aroma. Sweet. Heavy. Good but a real masher.

Lovely smooth creamy vanilla with just the right amount of maple sweetness. The barrel age booze strength and taste really built up as the beer warmed up. Loved it ice cold, but the original bastard coming through got a bit heavy for me in the end.
