Vanilla, a hint of bourbon, roasted malt, caramel, fudge, coffee, molasses, maple syrup, dark chocolate, wood barrels, dark fruit, plum and raisin. Full body. Light carbonation. AMAZING Beer! ❤️🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Time in the cellar has not damaged you. Slightly gunky around the rim after popping the cap but didn’t scare me off.

Aged for 3.5 years, I was worried it was too old. However, it is a transcendent delight. Velvety chocolate, roasted coffee, and rich maple syrup unite, creating a truly exceptional drinking experience. Cheers to this excellent stout!

Oh. My. God. This one has gotten super smooth. Wow - can I be in love with a beer? If so, then I am. The booze was has gone and melted into a chocolate bliss.

4 years old and still drinks like a beast. Hard to believe they quit brewing this.

A shell of what it was but not bad. Still has some nice maple. The coffee has mostly faded as is to be expected but it’s not green pepper either. Not much barrel left.

Back to the cellar for this one. Bottled in October 2019 & has held up very well. Smooth coffee & slightly sweet chocolate &maple flavor. Barrel flavor is still present. I think flavors have mellowed out but still very good. Maybe Founders makes it again.

Compared to last one of these I drank this has more Maple up front. Very chocolatey, barrel is present, thicker body. Impressive. 4.4/5 as this is much better balanced overall.
