Pretty good. Had it left over from a beer advent calendar last year.

Pretty solid. Maple isn’t as bright anymore. The coffee has faded. Good chocolate balance. There’s lots of barrel on it. Pretty decent all around.

My last bottle from a pack I bought back in 2019. At the time, I really sought this out. Held up pretty well after 3 years. This beer survived 2 moves with me.

Impressive. Hints of vanilla and chocolate and coffee. Out of the park delicious!

With age, getting a lot more coffee than maple

The maple is much more subdued with time. Still good, but definitely lacking some of the punch it used to have.

Bottled 9-30. This has mellowed nicely, sad that Founders has totally #v¢£e! up the KBS line. Remember when KBS release day was an event?

Fin stutare! Gillar en viss blygsam sötma men en märkbar bourbon lagrat ekfat som kommer fram. Femhundratusen solar!

Smooth. Hint of maple, but mainly coffee at this point.

Warm: a very rich chocolatey beer. There is a slight bourbon flavor. However this beer was pretty old, bottled in 2019, so I think it could be much better if it were fresh. Still it is a very sweet very strong chocolate stout.

3 years in the cellar has tamped down the sweetness a good bit. Unfortunately the coffee notes are almost gone. 1-2 years was probably perfect.

Delicious. Changes year by year and bottle vs draft.

Probably a little past prime. Got one of those big sludgy sips at one point. Finish is still coffee, maple, little cinnamon, but the whole thing feels a bit... muted. Not quite soy sauce but getting there.
