Damn. Coffee forward, subtle chocolate and molasses. Classic barrel aging going on here. Real smooth and alcohol is well hidden.... be warned.

So much chocolate! Heavy thick stout with a slight oaky aftertaste. Amazing dessert brew! 3 years old! Dig it!

So glad I picked a few 4s of this before they discontinued them in 2019. Still have a few more left. This is a beer that always hit the spot! I’m pretty sure the will bring it back to create a marketing hype!

Wow! Aging has enhanced this beer a lot. I thought it was great when it was fresh, only better now. Very smooth.

Found this hiding in the beer fridge. It is long out of production but ages quite well for to the high ABV. This stout pushes chocolate coffee, maple and the warmth of bourbon flavors.

Just so good. To my palate the 2-3 years have given this brew the perfect balance of richness and roastiness from the barrel/cocoa. Little maple notes left but what remains is almost a baking spice note. It's not syrupy either, just right. Long finish.

Blind tasting, this & KBS 2019. I picked this, K the KBS (there is NO wrong choice). CBS has such a complex profile now, it's a journey ending with huge dark roasty cocoa and alcohol burn. Love it.
