Probably a little past prime. Got one of those big sludgy sips at one point. Finish is still coffee, maple, little cinnamon, but the whole thing feels a bit... muted. Not quite soy sauce but getting there.

Man I wish they still made this one. One of the beers that really got me into beer. Glad I still have a few. This was a goos bottle.

3 years in the cellar has tamped down the sweetness a good bit. Unfortunately the coffee notes are almost gone. 1-2 years was probably perfect.

Will always get this when I see it. Has really smoothed out over the years. What else could ya want. Drinking CBS, Star Wars on the TV, surrounded by beer! They charged me for 5oz pours but these look bigger than that, not complaining

Vertical. 2019 ever so slighlty lower than 2018 which sis sligjtly lower than 2017. But all excellent. 2019 a little less mellow.

4+ years later rich slightly carmelly and roastythe maple has muted. Delicious!!!!

Smooth, sweet chocolate coffee and tasteful bourbon. I get the maple vanilla as well, just a tasty and somewhat crushable BA stout with decent barrel presence & flavor. Sweet but fine for the style. Medium body.

Rich coffee bitterness, sticky sweet maple and warm bourbon finish. Very smooth and silky. Very good, just a tad sweet. 4.35
