Marvelroast

Golden Ale

Take in the wonder that is the marvelous – ahem – “marvelroast” new addition to our coffee beer lineup. We started with an imperial golden ale and brewed it with coffee, vanilla and cocoa nibs. But it doesn’t end there, folks. Milk sugar added during the brewing process lends a smooth and sweet finish, making this a delicious treat reminiscent of your favorite iced coffee drink.

There is a strong coffee flavor with this beer. I like it but I think it over powers the cacao and milk sugar. Overall, I like it... just not what I expected

Essentially a white stout with hints of coffee. Coffee aroma is notable.

Aroma of roasted coffee and cocoa is marvelous but sweetness and vanilla overwhelm the palate — probably would be great over ice or ice cream!

Light and smooth with immediate notes of fresh coffee. Hints of cinnamon after consumed. Not too shabby!

Wow, really unique. Looks like a pale, smells like a stout, tastes like coffee. Solid, but probably wouldn’t drink more than one.

Looks like a Golden/Amber; tastes like a coffee stout with brown sugar. Would probably taste fine ICED! as suggested on the label. hmm innovative idea! Bottled 30 days ago @ 8% abv. UNHOPPY! AGE & ICE!

Imperial golden ale with coffee, vanilla & cocoa nibs. Definitely a unique coffee beer. The milk sugar adds a little extra sweetness. Maybe too sweet for me. Still fun to try beers that stretch the imagination.

ORL MTL MLS is back. But I think that Thierry Henry is just about done. Not a bad vanilla coffee beer. This style is surprisingly good to me despite not drinking coffee.

Very interesting. Coffee infused beer. I think I like Pale Joe better. But still an interesting beer.

Color is frosty brown gold. Aroma is sweet white chocolate. Coffee mocha. Smells delicious. Taste is seductive. Light coffee notes. Light chocolate. Not heavy nor overly sweet. Easy drinker. Nice unique style. As described it’s a damn good beer.

Close but the 8% abv is too much for the style and comes off overly sweet and muddied.m. Plenty of better examples of the coffee/vanilla/cocoa nib golden ale on the market.

Reminds me of a 'heavier' version of Huss's Koffee Kölsch. Similar flavors of light coffee & hazelnut

overall not bad. And def. different. Nice coffee notes, but the vanilla borders on perfumy. Thanks Kevin K. ! And this was my anniversary present. The frame didn't fit though. I bought it on our 1st anniversary. Her coworker completed during quarantine.

At first Taste I though ... hmm ok a little hint of coffee. But, the cocoa and the strong vanilla finish is what you really get from it. This is what I’m always thinking any beer that says “vanilla” should taste like.

Has a nice sweet aroma. All the flavors come out in it and hit you at once but seem to perfectly balance each other out. Nice and smooth and enjoyable even if you are not a coffee fan.
