Amazing. Excellent balance of oak and maple. Nice little booziness on the back.

The Brewmaster at founders brewing Company must be extremely proud of this. I enjoyed this freshly bottled and I’m enjoying it after four years bottle aged in the cellar.

Aged for four years. Still TONS of character. Let’s brew another batch @Founders.

I’ll be so sad when I drink my last one of these. Luckily Backwoods Bastard is almost as good and made year round.

Maple aroma. Deep copper pour. Loads of bourbon, vanilla, and molasses. The sweetness of the maple is more pronounced. Had this in 2018 and 2020. Different flavors and experience each time. One more left in the cellar!

Malty sweet maple syrup delight. Great stogie beer which is a Metropolitan, a Nat Sherman stick.

Richness, fullness, delayed sweetness, rounded body and all the malt. Really. It’s ample malt. More malt than you really need but not as much malt as you really want.

Nice deep garage fridge find. Better than I remember but I can barely remember last week.

Really nice. Herbal old ale with sweet smooth bourbon and syrupy flavors.

Still holding up. Bourbon and maple right up front with practically zero barrel heat.

Pulled one out of the cellar (I assume it's my last one), but I am ECSTATIC to say it held up! Aged nicely. So smooth and flavorful!!!

Holds its flavor better than Backwoods when "aged"

18th wedding anniversary! Great beer! Aged very well. So smooth. Lacing coats glass as you drink. Wonderful display of maple, molasses and balance between sweetness and booze. BO 08/13/18

Still holding up great for 4 years old! The Maple has fallen off a bit, but still sweet, and lots of molasses flavor coming out!
