This aged well. Bourbon nose and flavor came through strong, accompanied by maple and caramel.

Didnt realize I was buying a 2018 release (got TW'd) but this has held up well! Nose of bourbon and maple. Flavor is sweet malt and boozy, then the molasses, bourbon and maple are there at the end.

Updating from Tuesday night. Such a great old ale. Love that founders/their distributors decided to drop some 2018 into stores.

Great beer. This is what I believe an Old Ale should be. Visual - not terribly dark. Sweet, dark fruit - raisin forward. Maybe a bit boozy. Just a hint of bitterness - maybe from the molasses? Great beer. If the bitterness were a bit more subtle I'd go 5.

An explosion of different sweet flavours. The maple syrup bourbon barrels give perfect balanced sweetness.

Fenominaal, hele mooie barrel, niet te sterk niet te zwak. Goed zoetje. Echt een topper.

Bottled 8/21/18. Sweet, boozy nose. Sweetness upfront that blends into a sweet molasses body. Strong but not overbearing. The aging really took to bite out of it. Not much barrel flavor left but damn it’s smooth. Better with age for sure. Just incredible.

Ages beautifully. All the subtle, sweet flavors are easily picked up and not washed out by the higher alcohol content.
