Unfortunately time hasn’t done this well. There’s a good roasty sweetness on the nose, but the palate has started to see green pepper peek through. Not gone yet, but the booze and espresso bitterness together prove to be a bit heavy. Does well to warm.

19-11-18 Vtg, 1yr/o! Rich, spicy coffee and notes of cocoa. Warm, with notes of fiery wood character and sharp molasses. Hints of vanilla and cream. Aging well, as KBS does.

Bottled 11/14/19 and hidden away in the back of the fridge. Not sure if a year of aging has improved it. Coffee notes are still prominent and a bit harsh. Booziness remains as well. Still very good but not the best of the KBS array.
