Did not know KBS could be more coffee forward as original. Yet, here we are. 1st yr it’s aged on espresso beans after being removed from the barrels. More hyperness than normal! Thanks Bryan F. for the hookup on this one I missed. Huge KBS fan & variants.

Just tapped a 1/4 barrel of KBS Espresso and it’s awesome! Coffee in your face for sure. Smooth, with great carmel bourbon notes.

My go to bourbon barrel aged coffee stout with delicious intense espresso blended into the flavors! Dark roasted malts delicious caramel rich chocolate outstanding bourbon dark fruits. Truly incredible brew from Founders, my favorite brewery A+++ WOW!

10 months of age. Delicious. The bourbons flavors remain but the harsh alcohol is gone leaving nice chocolate coffee bitterness and some nice toffee/espresso at the end as it warmed.

Dark roasted coffee is definitely prominent. Chocolate, toffee, caramel, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Thick, sweet, boozy. Great winter drinking.

Shocked that I haven’t checked this in prior. Has aged remarkably over the year +, allowing the coffee/espresso flavors to come forward even more. Arguably the quintessential coffee BBA stout

Last one of this vintage. Dark roasted coffee prominent. Chocolate, toffee, caramel, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Thick, sweet, boozy. So good.

Poured at 55°F and 20.5 months aged. Still absolutely delicious with bourbon on the nose and strong coffee/espresso flavors on the finish

Last call!! Malty/peppery start, the espresso both pushes the roast level and pulls it back from becoming overly ashy/burnt, i dig it. Coffee segues into the barrel element, dark chocolate on the aftertaste. Pretty amazing brew at 3+ years, thanks Jason!

Wonderful Rich BA coffee stout. Not overly boozy and lots of espresso. Nice amount of barrel and some nice bitterness on the down side! Birthday gift from my bride.

could just as well have gone all in on this one. it’s really the perfect nightcap and I’m not even a bourbon fan. so wb.. just enough boozy sweetness to that espresso base. out on a limb perhaps but calling this my Founders-favorite.
