Incredible beer. I may never have this again. Up to you, Founders!!!

2015 in 2022. I bought a couple of these before this place shut down forever. This is a bit sweet, malty and grainy. I get molasses and caramel and some oaky notes. Good for being 7 years old and questionably stored. Still thought it would be different.

Incredible. I can just image stepping foot off the lobster boat after months at sea and enjoying this Malty brew. Notes of: Carmel, malt, slight dank, bread, British bitters beer adjacent.

Digging deep into the cellar. 7 years old and still delightful.

Aged almost 6 years and it tastes like I’m drinking an oak & leather tankard of molasses sweet ale while I’m braving a deadly storm on the high seas. Well, probably... I have no idea what that’s like.

"Funny thing about getting older. Your eyesight start getting weaker but your ability to see through people's bullshit gets better." Probably one of my favorite styles, now thanks to the Hazy Craze, forgotten. Minimal carbonation, malty, molasses 🔥

01-14-15 bottle. Held up quite well 6 years later. Molasses, raisin, caramel are all still present. Pretty impressive aging work. A pretty good one for yet another NE cold night...4.05

After 6 years of aging, it has become even smoother. Such a great beer. Wish I could age Better Half this long, but it just disappears too quickly. 😅

Molasses, brown sugar, oak, fig, biscuit malt and a bit of breadiness. This is the beer that originally got my attention to the brewery 12+? years ago. This vintage is holding up very well with age.

Tasted some oxidation and stale, but then was hit with a wow this a proper strong ale for the old school!
