Smooth, balanced and fine tuned the typical Founders way, also meaning bit careful and heldback. Surprisingly enough the fudge coffee and maple syrup accentuate the chocolate, making it rich in cocoa notes. Very tasty, with a light candy vibe.

WFH HH D219 / New Beers Day 55 / BA Wed W8: Pours deep brown with a massive head and cocoa nose. Rich, chocolatey start leads seamlessly to a full, sweet, boozy body. Finishes strong with maple, bourbon and woody notes from barrel aging. Awesome!

Tons of chocolate. Coffe, maple hints, kinda smells like a milkshake. Very faded woody oak barrel hints. A bit thin.

Straight out of the bottle, coffee dominates the nose. After the beer warms, chocolate and fudge take over. Maple lingers in the background. Overall a chocolate forward take on a maple/chocolate/bourbon stout.
