KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Don’t closes playground beer while you are indoors in air conditioning. 80°F and 70% humidity.

A chocolate lovers dream. Thick rich liquid chocolate. The booziness is very light compared to its high 11 ABV. Extremely smooth, creamy, and dense. Very decadent, very good.

Glorious blackened imperial stout that is only rivaled by the legend that is Founders CBS. Deep chocolate, coffee, maple and bourbon greatness. Big and a uniquely great beer!

Good, but I expect a lot more from KBS.

Delicious balance of bourbon, coffee, maple syrup, and chocolate-fudge. No single adjunct overpowers the stout or steps out of line to steal the spotlight. My favorite of the many versions of the classic breakfast stout.

Very fresh cocoa powder smell with some graham crackers thrown in. A bit of chocolate brownie in there too. Slight taste of Trader Joe’s holiday beer underneath the chocolate syrupiness.

Been waiting to get this on tap. I could smell it from across the bartop after being poured. Nose is heavy fudge and maple. Taste is a hit of dark chocolate fudge and sweet maple syrup with some barrel aged vanilla notes in the background. Very tasty.

From last night; Dark, smooth & rich. Might be my imagination, but seems more coffee heavy than I remember. Good dose of fudge and a subtle hint of maple. (4.3/5)
