Brisk coffee and dark chocolate malts, slightly sweet and mellowed.

Can't tell if nearly 7 years of age has helped or hurt this beer. It still tastes excellent. Paired with a Gurkha Seduction on a rainy day with a cool breeze, I can't complain about life at all. Feel like I won a broke man's powerball.

From a friends cellar last weekend.....7 years in and it's a different beer than it was fresh, but not that different from a 2 or 3 year old CBS. Still a very tasty beer!

2017 and 2018 share both deliciously boozy with chocolate, coffee, and maple sweetness - creamy full; sweet without being cloying.

I'm actually going to disagree with my last check-in. The 3yrs age really helped the complexity shine through, and the beer tastes as great as I remember it used to taste. Chocolate, milk, coffee, maple, bourbon, oatmeal. Smooth.

Final one from a six grab. Turning softer and less expressive now, I think I was right not saving this longer. Even if it’s missing a bit of the dynamic impact, the score stands since it’s still a lovely beer, albeit more elegant. Bye bye 2017 😢
