Tastes as good as the first time, every time. Fabulous coffee, chocolate and bourbon, backed by great mouthfeel and some notes of caramel and dark fruit.

2017 and 2018 share both deliciously boozy with chocolate, coffee, and maple sweetness - creamy full; sweet without being cloying.

Aged pretty well, some of the coffee has faded, still some barrel and some maple lingering. Liked it better when it was fresh.

Dug this out of the basement to share with friends. The maple-sticky factor is very prevalent. The coffee is a little faded out now. Hides the boozy factor well three years later. Nice stuff.

I'm actually going to disagree with my last check-in. The 3yrs age really helped the complexity shine through, and the beer tastes as great as I remember it used to taste. Chocolate, milk, coffee, maple, bourbon, oatmeal. Smooth.

The bottle is so damn big. I used a wine cork to preserve it. I don’t need to drink 750 ml of the fucker in one sitting. It’s a great beer and I’m very eager to tear into it again don’t get me wrong.

Final one from a six grab. Turning softer and less expressive now, I think I was right not saving this longer. Even if it’s missing a bit of the dynamic impact, the score stands since it’s still a lovely beer, albeit more elegant. Bye bye 2017 😢

Aged well. Really mellowed out. More like a sweet stout as the coffee and maple have blended and faded
