Underground Mountain Brown (2019)

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Underground Mountain Brown is the harmonious drinking experience only achieved when our imperial brown ale, earthy sumatra coffee and a year aging in caves below Grand Rapids comes together. A team of malts complement the bold sumatra coffee perfectly, while time spent immersed in oak creates layers of depth and complexity. A celebration of the barrel, the bean and everything in between.

The pour is dark, deep, heavy white head. The nose is brown bitterness and a good amount of roasted coffee notes. Fantastic year, the barrel adding depth and complexity to the brew. A fantastic outing in barrel-aged brown goodness.

Sweet caramel & fruity berry sumatra coffee. Nice viscous chewy body with hints of dry oak. Malty Brown Ale. Where am I going to get my founders from now? BeerHop no more 😪 Bourbon from the Barrel aging kicks in at the end🤘 🍻🇺🇸 Grand Rapids MI

Тело провалилось. Орешки очень яркие, суховато. Бурбона очень много. Агрессивно.

One of the most prominent whisky profiles I've ever had from a BA. Very up front, but as it settles the rich, bitter coffee takes over, with a hint of chocolate. Quite boozy, but that's not a bad thing here.

Magisk. Fatlagring, härligt toffie och fikon med lite välrostat kaffe i bakgrunden.

Hard to fault Founders when it comes to BA beers, rich, a bit boozy, the ba coming through on the finish, superb.
