Aged beautifully. Malted Carmel w v muted hops. Very barleywine in character.

Vintage 2018 bottle! Still tastes great! Less hoppy but seems like it has more of a malt and bourbon taste after aging! Thanks Kurt! 🍻

I’ve always been a fan of this one and would be thrilled to have it back in production. After 3 years, I taste the bourbon quite a bit as well as the barrel. A bit of tootsie roll? Very enjoyable.

See previous reviews of Dank Wood & 2018 'Wood. Ages and mellows well for a three year old. Gets more woody as it ages. Glad there's one more left to go....

Another Founders 2018/19 in the cellar! Apparently I bought 1 ea of those on their last brew before Founders stopped them & I’ve been having each this past few days! Each has been amazing including this one. Should have bought a 4 pack of each - dumb guy!

We just cracked one open after aging. I think I liked it a bit better before. It’s almost too smooth now.

Put this away for a couple of years. Being an imperial IPA aged in bourbon barrels, at 12.2%, it was worth a try. Still tastes great, lost some of the bourbon, but still has some spice.

Riktigt nice. Syrlig, massa burbon och fat. När jag drack den så var den lagrad så riktigt balanserad och trevlig.

Improves with age. Massive malt with bourbon, hop hit has faded slightly but this leaves nothing but greatness.

Bottled date 10.04.2018. Almost 3 years from bottling and it's still great. Red notes (caramel, bread), some sweetness mixed with bitterness. Plus bourbon barrel notes (in this bottle really nice, not only wood like it few other). No boozy notes.

Lækker Bourbon upfront. Derefter tager den røde IPA over med fyrnåle og karamel overlappet af let boozy træ/Bourbon. Som sædvanlig holdet Barrel Series et rigtig flot niveau.

One of the best red IPA’s I’ve ever had. There’s perhaps one that i liked better, but only marginally, and the high abv, barrel aged aspect of this beer makes it pretty unique to me

Efter överläggande med kollegor enades vi över att denna måndag egentligen är en onsdag, alltså lill-lördag. Stäng laptopen, le som en idiot, öppna en Founders! Helt groteskt god kombo av humle och mördarfatlagring och ett utseende bara en man kan älska!

I almost sat on this one too long but it still holds up. Woody, cardboardy, hops still there, a touch of whisky and cherry.
