I understand this is the only GZ available on draft this year.

My friend found this in the back of his cottage garage fridge and thought it’d be undrinkable. On the contrary, it was full of complex tart peach flavors.

3-years old and aging well. Creamy with rich chocolate and coffee notes.

First visit since reopening after the fire. The food and service are still top notch.

Watermelon is still my favorite, but only the peach was on tap.

Drowning my sorrows with a great Michigan brew.

Fluffy mouthfeel with tropical fruit hop notes and moderate bitterness.
A tad on the sweet side with cocktail-inspired flavors of cherry and orange bitters. The cranberry and Bourbon notes are more subtle.
A really good Session IPA that doesn’t clash with food by saturating the tastebuds with bitterness.
The spicy rye notes standout in this tasty IPA. But unfortunately the keg blew for my second pour.
The spicy rye notes elevate the flavor profile beyond the norm.

I’m happy to see this popping up on more taps around town. It’s solid.

A refreshing quaffer with grapefruit notes and a saline finish.

None of the pumpkin, maple or Bourbon flavors are overpowering, but rather are somewhat subdued.

A tasty KBS variant with dark chocolate, coffee and blueberry. The barrel-aging adds an additional layer of complexity.

We had to stay for another tall boy so our bartender could finish telling us about her two week Mediterranean cruise.

Even though it’s fairly light, it delivers some crisp hop notes and mild bitterness.

My wife’s a Green Zebra fan, so a mixed case is always in the fridge. I actually think they’re pretty good too.
This 2020 bottle has held up extremely well. The raspberry notes are fresh and still intense. The Tequila barrel aging has obviously done its job.
The pineapple would be my last pick from the variety pack, but it still would be a refreshing quaff on a hot day. Tart pineapple with a salty finish.
I wish the weather matched up better with this tasty Gose. This needs a 80° day at the beach to be truly appreciated.
An easy drinking hazy Session IPA. It’s exactly what the name implies.
Green Zebra has expanded into some new flavors. The mango version is tropical and refreshing. Light mouthfeel and salty finish.
The newest release of an old favorite. It’ll even be better when the weather warms up.
I find the base Rubaeus a tad sweet, but this Rum barrel variant brings it down a notch.
Not a variant I’ve tasted before. It’s not my favorite, but the cherry chocolate combo meshes well with the Bourbon barrel notes.
Only decent beer I could find in my brother-in-law’s fridge. It’s a light-bodied, but full-flavored IPA.

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) Kemper
This is truly the Breakfast of Champions. A highly volatile mix of coffee and maple syrup.
French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Kemper
A dead ringer for French Toast slathered in maple syrup with a Bourbon chaser.
When there’s nothing exciting on a taplist this is always a good fallback.

Snowbound Vanilla Porter Kemper
Plenty of vanilla notes on top of the chocolate ones in the base Porter.

My brew while watching the Astros sweep the Yankees. The best team moves on.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) Kemper
A touch more maple this year to complement the strong chocolate and coffee notes, but the Bourbon ones are fairly faint. It’s still an outstanding Imperial Stout though.

A great find on the happy hour list tonight. The dark chocolate and coffee notes are still vibrant after six years.

Four Giants And the Haze of Destiny Kemper
I’m a big Four Giants fan, but the Haze of Destiny addition doesn’t improve the blend. Very good, but not better.

The mouthwatering hops lean toward the tropical end of the flavor spectrum.

Rich mouthfeel with strong Bourbon and dark roasted malt notes.

A short jaunt after lunch and we’re on the lake enjoying the sunshine.

You can’t have a summer get-together on the deck without a watermelon 🍉

If it’s summer and Green Zebra is on tap, Cathy’s ordering it. Can’t argue with that.

Underground Mountain Brown Kemper
Probably not the smartest choice for a lake beer, but I couldn’t resist.

Not a big fan, but the pickings were slim at the in-laws. I’ll be switching to wine the rest of the day.
I’m bringing a few of the big boys out of the cellar. 3 years old and still massive hop notes that are smooth and boozy.
