Happy Saturday all. Found some nearly expired filets for 25% off. Score. That and I found one remaining maple KBS. Still so fudge brownie rich. So great!

This beer seems one of a kind. Same as the two fur babies we lost in 2020. Photo circa 2000.

Pitch black with a fluffy mocha head. Chocolate, fudge, vanilla and coffee in the nose. Taste: Chocolate, fudge, maple syrup, coffee and bourbon. Warming, but the bourbon is subtle present. Also a little spiciness in the finish.

Not as good as i expected, not bad but i don’t get many flavors out of it. More nutty than anything

Really good, but unfortunately I don’t think my sense of taste is fully back. No problem with smell and I can taste the most prevailing flavor, but I’m having trouble tasting the whole combination.

I found a bottle hidden at the back of the fridge. Made me super happy. Way more chocolate than I had remembered.

Smell is delicious.Taste is fudge, coffee and some barrel with a decent mouthfeel.One of the better KBS variants I’ve had.Only thing I didn’t like is suddenly noticing in fine print that it’s artificially flavored.I’ll let it slide.

Super coffee, fudge nose. Palate is a heavy on coffee, mild extracty fudge and dry dark grain. A little astringent.

KBS packed with so much fudge flavored. Felt like drinking an ice cream float of booze. Thumbs up.

Damn delicious, so chocolatey and smooth. Touch of maple, might have to get a couple of these and age them.

Lovely little brew. Like a solid stout that’s been laden with sweet shop tasty treats from a fresh fudge like family. Coffee is faint, but a medium roast. Can barely taste the barrel. Fudge plays the prominent lead here
