CBS became one of my favorite beers the first time I had it. We hoarded a small stash when we heard the sad news that it was discontinued. It’s almost gone now. 😢

Thick and boozy...11.6% bomber! Perfect for yet another gloomy rainy day. Has held up fantastic after 3 years of maturing. Thanks Herb! 🍻

Comparing to the 2017, I think it was less boozy, a bit creamier chocolate. I think I liked the 2017 just a tiny bit more. Still great

Dark roast coffee, creamy almond, dark chocolate shavings, amarula, coffee liqueur, creamy Mexican coffee, some more heat and bitterness than the 2017. Cheers to our last Tucson beer tasting this summer.

3 years in our fridge and I thought a fitting note for #5000. Didn't quite deliver score wise in the end but CBS has been a firm favourite throughout my past few years of craft snobbery so glad to have had it to mark this milestone.. here's to 5000 more?

Thin, tan head, very dark brown appearance, and minimal lacing. Nose- faint dark bread crust. Taste- rich chocolate, coffee, cream, and dark bread crust. Mild bitterness. No char. Some bourbon and more maple syrup. Heavy body. Somewhat sweet finish. RJT

Chocolate, coffee, light bourbon. So easy on the palate with rich, maple syrup covered dark chocolate and coffee finish. Abv well hidden. Excellent balance.

Amazing beer! This bottle has been resting in my beercellar for 2.5 years and taste just beautiful! Vanilla, dark chocolate, smoke, leather, sweet brown sugar, molasses, bourbon barrels, maple syrup and coffee. Smooth with low carbonation. I'm in love 💕
