Retained a good level of silkiness and the flavors blend together a little more harmoniously than the 2017 I tried. The coffee is still prominent but is tempered by a stronger booziness in this one. I get a bit more of a darker malt on this one as well.

More chocolate on the 2018, whereas the 2017 was heavier maple flavor. Both delicious.

The maple sweetness comes and goes in the very beginning, and the chocolate is a non factor. I love the coffee in this, however. This aged way more gracefully than the 2017 version. Really well done

Bought this in 2019, almost panic saw 2014 in bottle time stamp, but label 2018. Still has a little head at pour ,creamy chocolate and coffee body, boozy sweet nutty maple finish. Nice way to finish out 2023.

Chocolate coffee and a little maple on the nose as well as taste. It's mellowed out while still being quite flavorful.

Getting rid of old bottles. The slightest hint of maple, but good stout and a little barrel. Honestly not bad at all.

Been sitting on this long enough. Nobody to share with so here goes. Mellow booziness on nose & throughout. Coffee flavor muted-almost nonexistent. Some sweetness from the maple. Rich chocolate flavor. Too bad Founders discontinued this series. Divine!!!

I wish I didn’t open this. I had no idea it had aged this well. Chocolate hung on as well as the cinnamon.

2018 from the cellar - tons of flavor that hangs on the palate with each sip. Getting em all - maple/coffee/cinnamon and a little BB. Another one that held up well.

Almost forgot to post this. By far my favorite stout and probably going to hold that number one spot for a very long time. Going to be a challenge finding one to rival how good this was after 5 years of aging. Thanks Zane and Dan for pointing this one out

2018, over a year since last taste, at proper temp last night. Lots of chocolate and pleasant maple syrup. Light roast and coffee emerge. Mild oak. Sweet, pleasant, balanced. Very tasty now still.

I missed out on the latest release so I grabbed a bomber of this. It’s holding on well for being 5+ years old. The coffee is strongest but there’s still a bit of maple and bourbon on the finish.
