Not sure why I gave 3.5 the last time I had this beer. Maybe I am just liking the barrel aged beers more? Or it was a better batch?

Another good release from founders. Rich malty body with vanilla and caramel notes coming through. Nice bourbon barrel on the finish.

Oh sweet baby Jesus! Keg ran dry a bit more than a week ago. Kids told me not to get another before XMas. They forgot that without Scotch Ale I puke up my meals regularly. One stopped by today and found me praying to porcelain goddess. Stock replaced now.

1000th beer Duo with Ray my Father in Law. Smoky and Scotchlike. Bitter and smoky first. Dark fruits second. Finish is totally different with nice chocolate notes. Smoky flavor stays through all of it. Great beer. Can't wait to compare the next one.

The wife is watching Christmas movies so I'm drinking. Not as bourbon buttery as I recall but still pretty good.
