Wow you really get the whisky, strong boozy taste and you get some of the bourbon from the barrel ageing

Hard to believe this is the 1st time I've had this this year...its a total cheat to post, but I used to look forward to its release every October. Still my favorite scotch ale

Pours dark & rich with minimal but sustained head. Taste is exceptional - a definite but polite level of smoke sweet boubonesque richness. A slight but agreeable level of alcohol taste mixed in... since it is an ABV of 11%. Excellent, but try to pace it

Alan G, you need to find this one. Good year. But a bottle and set it back 2 years. But this vintage is very good.

One of my favorites. Love the peaty flavor that hangs on well after you take a drink. The malty flavor is over ran by the bourbon boozy taste.

Mythic arboreal depth to this rich caramel malt Scotch Wee Heavy. Sticky stained aged oak barrel staves, wisp of smoke, brandied fruits… big flavor medley, soft mellow delivery. New angles to consider with each sip. Cheers!
