Smooth sweet and toasty for the front, followed by serious bitterness to round out the finish. Lots of flavor here. Is it my favorite barleywine no, but I’d have another.

Nice and roasty. It's almost a stout/barleywine hybrid.

Hoppy as all get up with a nice balance of caramel and bitterness. Great example of an American BW.

This would be so good after barrel aging.

BOTTLED ON: 03.09.21 0338 2. Bike ride cut short because rain. Then I felt like having a barleywine! This is on the very roast and semi low bitterness scale for the style. Still quite good. Kind of chocolatey.

Did I ever tell you how much I love Barleywines ? This one is no exception. It is delicious. Being on my kayak at night fishing may help my rating But I’m sure it’s a 5 all the way for me. Cheers to all my Untappd friends 🍻

Alles mooi in balans, heerlijk!

Was excited to find this being put out again. It's a good beer, but not wowing me. Hoping a little time will work

I enjoyed this but it’s not a typical barley wine. It’s roasty but not like a stout either. Perplexed in a good way.

Wowser, thick malty sweet with roasty, bitter and piney taste, quite boozy, wasn’t a fan of Barley Wines but beginning to get more of a liking, not sure I’ll ever be a fan, but drinkable and ok now and then

Not your typical barleywine. This one is way more roasty, but just as complex. There’s caramel, toffee, roasted malt, pine hops, lighter citrus and citrus rind, hints of molasses, maple syrup and coffee, slightly burnt malt, char, charcoal and brown sugar

Syrupy pit fruit on the nose. Spicy coffee and a bit of fruit and a little... Rye maybe? The nose is completely different from the taste and I'm absolutely here for it.

This is going to age well, but it is not there yet. The hops are not great right now so they need some time. The maltiness seems nice - maybe a bit too sweet - but it is hard to tell.
