Not a bad barleywine. Kinda more subtle than I might expect. Curious how this one will age.

hop bitterness with subtle floral notes, vague dark fruit candy sweetness, moderate malt presence.

I forgot this was a barrel-wine. Caught me way off guard😂. After discovering it was not a stout, I was able to enjoy the flavor and appreciate the hop after taste and malt, roast finish.

Not bad, expected more traditional barleywine. More woodsy, bitter flavor similar to a black IPA.

Malty. Even slightly hoppy. Not bad and would certainly drink again but won’t go out of my way to buy again.

Reminds me of Bigfoot with the hops-forward profile. Aftertaste not great. Prolly a 3.85 for me.

Barleywine labeled but not like any BW I’ve ever had. Nice aroma but slight roast slight alcohol taste.

3.85 - good flavor but those roasted malts were a bit strong

Not a huge barley wine fan but this is quite good. A tab too acidic but good.

It's a Barleywine. Either you love them or you don't. Not super strong. Kind of roasts, just a weird finish for me. Not bad.

My expectations were higher. But the beer walk with the dog was splendid.

Sweet and boozy like a barleywine yet hoppy with a quick finish. Certainly an oddball but I'm feeling it.

Tasty, but I think could have done with some aging on my part.

Very dry for a barleywine base. Lower residual sweetness than normal with higher hop bitterness. Overall very enjoyable.

No idea if this is the same recipe as the Nemesis from bottle shares of yore, but my palate has changed. Somewhat like Sublimely Self Righteous, it's almost black, bitter and hoppy, but with plenty of malt to back it up.

Had higher hopes, but a mixed bag...hop power, moderate bitterness, and yet a distinct lack of caramel malt BW notes. It’s fairly harsh, too, and I’m not convinced empirically that aging will temper it. Underground Mtn. Brown it’s not. Come on, dudes.

Starts off with a sweetness and nice dark fruit notes. It begins to mellow to strong malt and caramel flavors. It ends with a bitter finish that slightly lingers and a light boozy aftertaste.

Not what I expected. I have some to age. I hope it mellows out.
