I usually am not a fan of these high abv stouts but this was really smooth.

The bourbon mellowed out and is a nice taste with the chocolate.

Good, but lost a lot of the coffee and chocolate. Held up well though a little long, much more mellow

2017 bottle of KBS for 5.50? Sign me the fuck up. Definitely on its last legs. The coffee is VERY subtle along with the barrel, the chocolate is dominant. Very tasty still.

2.5 years since my last 2017 bottle. It seems even more chocolatey…and even less bourbony. For me that is not a good thing. 😑

New Untappd app is trash. Doesnt even work on galaxy s7. Had to revert to old version😐. As suggested, it taste better when it’s in room temperature. Jet black. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, bourbon sweetness. Quite bitter.

Had this in a vertical tasting and it was not the highlight. Maybe a lower ABV? Didn’t seem to improve with time.
