The best beer I have tried since Curmudgeon. So sweet up front like toffee mixed with guava. The ginger kicks in shortly after with mild heat and some boozyness. The finish reveals the barrel aging and finally lingering rum notes.

Different golden than I’ve had before, but as a ginger and guava lover, this beer is right up my alley! Excellent.

I can’t rate this as a Golden Ale. It’s closer to a Moscow Mule. The aroma is flowery ginger. And there’s a good bit of ginger heat on the palate. But I also get the rum and some fruitiness from the guava. Absolutely uniquely wonderful.

I'm liking this more than most. The golden strong ale is hidden behind the ginger and guava. Rum barrel aging could use some mellowing out. Think ginger ale with a shot of Don Q 151 rum. All that said, I like it.

Ginger Smiles is in production and is sexy as hell. Looking down the top of this curvy lady feels liberating. A little sharp to start but utterly fascinating as you breathe her in.

Sweet, fruity nose. Boozy. Ginger bite. Nice tropical fruit, guava flavor. Strong. Sweet, rum, sugary finish. Good beer.

Strong guava nose. Guava tastrw and then a solid spicy ginger after taste. I normally don't like sweet beers but this one is damn solid. I hate that it's 20 bucks a bomber.

Very original. Taste like a rum barrel aged tea. Very interesting, but idk if I could drink a whole one

Whoa. The aroma on this is great. Like a sweet guava ginger ale. Sweet, fruity, and just a hint of ginger. The flavor is more rum dominated. The spice of the ginger comes through and the barrel is a little more potent than I’d like to see for this

Pour is reddish-gold with white lacing. The nose is a strange mix of spicy ginger and sweet guava. The taste is a bit of a complex wrestling match, with both flavors vying against the rum barrel. It can be difficult to piece anything together.

Wow, this one has a LOT going on. The ginger and guava kinda hit you right in the mouth, and there’s like a bit of a bubbly vibe to it. Don’t think I’d drink a lot of this, but def worth trying. Very interesting.

Unique and interesting but disappointing as well. Guava presents unexpectedly as floral and overpowers the Ginger. Reminiscent of Rum Runner (unfortunately). I like the idea of Rum aging but, I would recommend using a different Rum Barrel source.
