Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown Ale - American

They don't make 'em like they used to... or do they? The bottle shop series is a tribute to the folks who supported ragtag brewer's across the country when craft beer was in its infancy. when beer enthusiasts sought out innovation through big flavor, in your face complexity and revered quality above all else. This series is for you: the distinguished beer connoisseur still seeking the revolution that energized the industry we know today -- that settles for nothing less then the very best!

A cross between a brown ale and bourbon-based cocktail, more leaning towards the latter. Super boozy, even their Underground Mountain Brown at nearly 12% ABV hid the alcohol better. Interesting to try, not sure I’d buy again.

This is delicious. The aromatics is JUST as described on the bottle, finishing off with the peel of an orange. The flavor is so much a delicious highball. NOMS!

Super complex and a different flavor profile than I’m used to, but delicious! You get orange right away followed by hints of cherry and vanilla.

I did enjoy this quite a bit more than I thought, definitely get the subtle dark fruits, caramel , orange peel, however for me the barrel tasted more like tequila than bourbon. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Noticeable orange liquor on the nose. Malty blend of flavors grace the tongue. Orange liquor is once again there in the flavor. Malty and orangey. Two pump chump. Not bad. Not great.

Pretty good; smooth brown malt, caramel and vanilla, cherry and booze.

Cherry, caramel, vanilla and oranges in the aroma. Taste has cherry and caramel first, followed by vanilla, oranges and a hint of bourbon. The body is medium+ with a medium-ish amount of carbonation. Very interesting combo of flavors, but it works. 4/5

God bless Michigan & Founders Brewing❗️sensational tasty Carmel vanilla cherry 🍒 orange 🍊flavor in a bourbon barrel aged not overly rich or boozy body…just adds to the intensity of flavors😋🍻

Boozy. Delicious. The RTD cocktail thing lately is great and all, but I much prefer a well made cocktail-inspired beer.

Just like the description.Bourbon-based, vanilla w/caramel. Cherry is detected, finishes w/orange peel. Orange more present as it opens up🍆

Reading the description I was all excited! Brown ale, dark fruit, Carmel and cherries barrel aged! Just thin and no real flavor coming through.
