Muted from the age. Still boozy a little sweetness likely from vanilla and a decent amount of oak, but significantly thinner than the 2014.

Almost dead. Dry, drying, faint coffee and austere as it warms.

After almost 7 years of aging (to the day!), this has gotten very smooth but still has a lot of complex flavors. Digging deep into the coffers!

A 2016 back when kbs was one a year and special. A fantastic stout, roasty, notes of coffee, boubon and super smooth.

Pretty much 7 years old now. This vintage really held up. Still tastes of bourbon, booze, wood, and chocolate on a roasted coffee base. The newer ones seem sweeter and may have lost more bite. Of course, I do like KBS fresh, often more than aged.

Strong coffee and chocolate flavors with a good molasses and dark fruit backbone and some bourbon in there. 6+ year old beer. It’s still incredible.

The great 2023 cellar clear out continues. Drinking quite well and smooth as ever. A year ago I rated this at 3.75 but this bottle is quite good.

The nose is full of bourbon…zero sweetness….slight and I mean slight coffee….pretty f’in good

Last of my '16 batch. Seems like it thinned out. Most definitely booze forward.
