My mouth is so happy!! This is one of the best ever from Founders. And that is saying a lot since I have had over 40 beers from them!!!

Damn. Decadent. Awesome noise of light barrel and coffee and vanilla. Flavor is rich without being "pastry". Overall, incredible. Very enjoyable. Just a tiny amount of heat from its high ABV.

Nose of bourbon & caramel. Pours deep brown, but not totally opaque. Robust head. Smooth mouthfeel. On palate, dark roast coffee & bourbon most prominent. Bittersweet chocolate, caramel noticeable too. Milk sugar complements nicely. Let her warm a bit.

My wife says she can actually taste the coffee and vanilla and it doesn’t taste like raisins. She adds “all barrel beers taste like raisins.”

Yes, this is nice. Barrelheads will complain about not enough BBA… #chrishatesbba but I like it just fine😁

It’s the best brown ale I’ve ever had. So much going on and at 11% you wouldn’t know while sipping it.

Bourbon laced, silky, thin brown ale. More coffee bean smell than taste, but it’s there. Not getting the advertised sweetness but there is a chocolate presence. Well done.

Amazing beer, but par for the coarse for Founders. Very rich with a lot of different flavors going on (coffee, chocolate, milk). Oddly enough, no bourbon flavor. It’s pretty sweet, so I don’t think I could more than one, but don’t let that deter you.

Tastes and aroma of coffee, chocolate & vanilla. It took a few sips to notice the bourbon notes. Not really boozy at all, but it will definitely warm you up.

Subtle flavors combined here. The coffee and barrel take a little time to arrive at the party, but it hits it’s stride when they do. 🍻
