Repeat. Cherry, vanilla & maple on the nose. Taste mirrors the aroma exactly! Subtle oak barrel. No bitterness whatsoever. Maple surprisingly pairs well with vanilla & cherries. 🍒

All the notes come out. A bit too barrel heavy for the poor cherry beer to keep up though

Cherry, sweet maple and bourbon, they nailed it. Not boozy.

You can smell the cherry as soon as you open the bottle. First sip was cherry, boozy, bourbon goodness. At 8% it’s a glorious sipper. 😉

12oz OG bottle from 12/16. Just found I had 16 of these still at the retailer where I bought them! Holding up well w/on-point sweet/tart cherry flavor still. I’m more into bourbon & old fashioneds now so wanted to add more bourbon & some orange bitters.

8 ABV is deceiving. Nice fruited ale with a hint of barrel aging.

Finally get to try one of my white whale beers and was not disappointed! Sweet cherry that’s complemented well by the subtle bourbon barrel and maple. The bourbon and maple aren’t super prominent but they are there enough to elevate the beer.

2017 bottle that's been in my cellar. Barrel impact now matches the cherry. Really well balanced.

Nice cherry flavor, delicate sweetness, and complex under-flavors. Definitely better warm.

Really good brew, hint of maple, not too much, hints if boozy, but not much, light and clean, RV 4

Aroma of faint cherry with obvious notes of bourbon and oak. Taste is really nice with noticeable amounts of cherry, just the right amount of maple syrup, and finishes with hints of bourbon, vanilla, Earth, and damp oak. Very well done!

Frootwood is gooood. A friend described it perfectly saying it “drinks like a grown up Dr. Pepper”. They are eerily similar. This is so delicious with layers of flavors to be enjoyed. Not too sweet and not too tart. Thank you Paul and Lisa!

A fantastic cherry ale finished in bourbon barrels. A combo of two of my favorite things!!
