Point elevation because of how much more drinkable this is than the typical representative of the style. I love Oktoberfest and I want to love the beer but the sweet Maltiness taste too much like hangover typically.

I'm torn on this. The barrel is nice, but all of the subtle complexity of a Marzen are gone. I like them experimenting like this, but this one fails to have an identity and falls a little short.

Notes of woody bourbon & vanilla. Malty, boozy, sweet. Interesting, yet not the best from “Barrel Aged” series to my taste.

Old school Founders last night followed by their new Barrel Aged Octoberfest. Smooth malty flavor with some barrel aged sweetness. 10% ABV is sneaky because it is very smooth. Well done Founders!!

It’s so nice out tonight. It’s nice to have a (heavily boozy) drink while hanging out with friends on the deck.

Caramel and malty undertones are in there, but it has huge bourbon barrel weight sitting on top crushing it, prost to 10 % heat

Incredibly smooth and tasty served ice cold. As it warmed up the barrel aging gave it a little too much sweetness. Definitely the better choice if you really have to drink those Oktoberfest beers

So nothing about this is Oktoberfest, BUT this is a pretty good beer. Reminds me of a better Bourbon Barrel Ale.
