8.5% ABV Scotch Ale. Bottled 12/29/2022, so assuming this is the 2023 version. As good as always. Been quite a while since I have had this, still a great example of the style.

Specifically the one brewed at Avery. Good solid scotch ale. Still too bitter right at the end. The rest of the beer is so smooth, but the aftertaste kicks

I get chocolate milk in the nose. Nice chocolate forward taste moving to some stone fruit sweetness to finish.
