Under appreciated IMO. Rich flavor, creamy, solid bitterness. 15 years ago it might have been thicker, more Stout like, but remarkably consistent over the years.

Bottled exactly 31 months ago. Still getting smokey malt. Nice!

Branching out (for me) with the soup course. This #2 Porter in the world fits all the descriptors—chocolate, coffee, roasty. (And the mushroom bisque pairing is delish!!

192. Is Founders still racist? I haven’t had a Founders beer in three years, but I wanted a dark beer, and this was the best one on the menu. Hope it’s a responsible choice. It is perfectly sweet, then bitter.

Plenty of roasted barley, coffee, and chocolate, but not too sweet. This is kind of a throwback Porter that is hard to find these days. Excellent!
