I have lived this oaky, vanilla-y, boozy bastard for years. A lot of bold flavors come through on this. It feels like it packs more punch than its abv

It drinks lighter than expected. Woody and strong. with dark fruit flavor over a heated base. Acidic towards the finish, but really just so tasty. Great beer.

Delicious and balanced well, rich without being too heavy to enjoy with dinner. I really like this.

Late check-in from last night. Scotch-style ales aren’t typically my go-to beer for most occasions, so I can’t say that I’ve had too many of these before. With that said, this may be the best that I’ve had for that style. Founders rarely disappoints.
