First time for a KBS offshoot. The boozy decadent KBS finish is jolted by bright and tart blueberry. Not bad by any stretch, it’s definitely a flavor journey - interesting, but I’d take the original.KBS.

One month later this has gone full blown Lizard of Koz...which is absolutely not a beer for me...just way too sweet.

After going through a 4 pack. I don’t like it. Had an off putting bitterness. Not hoppy but weird berry funk/sourness. I love KBS and blueberries but not this.

Correct looking pour. Smells like chocolate covered blueberries. First sip is pretty much standard KBS, midway the blueberries step in. Tart, they step upfront and stay. Finish is smooth, more standard KBS but the tart blueberries are still lingering.

Not nearly as much blueberry as I was expecting. There’s definitely some fruity berry tartness there but other imperial stouts I’ve had have this same quality without adding fruit. Not bad, but disappointing based on my expectations of a blueberry bomb.

Super creamy head! That's what she said 😆! Almost comes off like a nitro. Thin and doesn't drink like 11% definitely a strong coffee on the front end and finishing with a natural blueberry, vanilla and oak bourbon 😋. That 11% creeps up lol 😆 💯

As fantastic as the original, this Blueberry KBS really shines with food. Before food, the blueberry was almost unnoticeable, but with food, that blueberry slides across the tongue immediately showing you it’s joined the party!

Super sweet are not the words that come to mind when I think of KBS but this variant is just that. Makes my burps tasty.

Another great KBS. The blueberry almost lightens it up a bit. More on the subtle side with the blueberry.

Not great by KBS standards. The barrels and acid from the blueberries contradict each other on the finish.

< 4.25 > 4.00. Good blueberry flavor, but a touch too sweet. More robust stoutyness or some coffee might help.

Blueberry is a tasty addition but also lightens the overall stout base. So it’s a little give and take. Easy to drink if you want a lighter flavor in a heavier beer.

Last night's offering. Not a huge fan. This beer could have been so much better but the blueberry flavor seems artificial and it has less body than I prefer. It is definitely not measuring up to Lizard of Koz! 🍻

Blueberry was there, but not a prominent flavor profile. A great morning coffee stout and pair it with a blueberry muffin/scone and you’re set for the day!
