Som altid med founders, en super flot øl. Lækker duft af lakrids. Måtte gerne have været lidt kraftigere, men ellers en lækker øl med en tydelig lakrids eftersmag måske lidt for kold, som gør smagen virker afdæmpet.

Flot mørk øl med fint brunt skum. Dufter mørkt og af lakrids. Fin smag af lakrids og med en god bitterhed i afgangen. Savner lidt den sødme, poser og fylde som deres barrelaged har vænnet mig til.

Nice Russian Imperial Stout. Very roasty. Coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel.

This and Marshal Zhoukov’s from Cigar City are probably the best 2 classic Russian Imperial Stouts that I know of. I’d give Founders the slight edge on taste, Zhoukov the nod on body/mouthfeel. I’m sure one of these deserves a 4.75, just not sure which.

Embotellada el 2018. Viscosa, café y chocolate. Pero se siente agotada. No teniendo adjuntos, me cuesta entender que tenga tan poca buena vida :(

Back home after 10 days in Nashville at the Toastmasters Convention, treated myself to an excellent heavyweight favorite. Deep, dark chocolate, some coffee, love the prunes, raisins, dates, figs. Traditional licorice notes are light. Really nice.

Pretty sure it’s a 2013 but the date is rubbed off. Still quite good.
