Another solid KBS. Not my favorite, but really good.

Strong chocolate nose. Mildly sweet, dark, rich, thick dark roasty chocolate with coffee at the finish. Boozy throughout. All the flavors are more subtle and subdued. Not much barrel presence. Still tasty.

Figured that a coffee mug was a good vessel for a chocolate and coffee stout

The KBS Series is truly one of my favorites. This Chocolate Espresso is right up my ally and didn't disappoint. Rich dark chocolate and bitter overtone. Could drink this for breakfast or bedtime!

A great way to end the day of putting up political signs. This new KBS has a prominent coffee flavor and lesser chocolate and bourbon flavors.

Reminds me a lot of the regular kbs in recent years. Espresso is decent. Barrel is fairly light amd actually might be welcome for Mr. The chocolate is very prominent.

I've been cutting back on higher ABV beers, but this one was calling to me....and it did not disappoint. Chocolate and espresso, with a light booze and barrel flavor throughout. 🍻

A decent imperial stout if not my favorite of the KBS series.

Only thing that would enhance the sensory experience would be some maple syrup barrels! 🤡

I feel like they have done this already. How’s about coconut or adjunct free?

Founders always hits the mark with their CBS and KBS series. This one features a good dose of chocolate and a nice espresso kick. Get some oak too. Really good, especially after it warms up a bit.

Chocolate and oak aroma accompanied by dark chocolate and dry espresso flavors. A subtle vanilla sweetness with little evidence of bourbon.

It’s KBS so let’s start there. The coffee added is a bonus.

Like a 90% cocoa dark chocolate bar, which is an excellent confection, maybe just not as beer

Founders tasting #3 Rich, boozy front, a note of sweetness (chocolate?) with a lot of coffee on the back end. Like BS but more substantial, with a shot dropped in it. Roastier as it warmed.

On to the Chocolate Espresso version of KBS. Smells like coffee. Has a coffee finish. Might let this warm up a bit before giving it a rating. Warmed up and it’s not quite as harshly bitter, but there aren’t a lot of flavor different from regular KBS.

Not a fan of Founders but KBS is good and I wanted to try this variant. A tad too much of the roasty, bitter coffee flavor for me but I’m being picky because it’s still a good chocolate coffee stout.
