World Wide Stout

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex. This ageable ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV and has a depth more in line with a fine port than with a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer.

Great flavor. Age it a little bit to round out that fire... could be 5*

ā€˜23 @ 15.5%! This is a fine port, not a Stout FYI! Saving one in the cellar w/ so many other years that I’ve lost track of all I have aging. These will age forever I’m guessing. Vertical is in order 😁. DFH WWS, Utopia & the Utopia barreled WWS top shelf!

Beautiful dark stout that is just hitting great tonight. The ABV is subtle, and the dried dark fruit/toffee note is balanced out. Untappd needs a draft function. Imagine it didn't lose all the nice words about this. Some of my best work.

Exceptional. A bit of brown sugar and maple over a massive toasted malt, almond cookie, molasses and bourbon base. Baking spices and brown bread finish. Big and a tad boozy, roasted and warning, expected nothing less from DFH.

Excited to find this at my Total Wine. Good but not as amazing as I remembered. Cheers!

Can't put my finger on what the primary flavor here is but pretty decent. Pretty smooth for such a high percentage.

Big, slick, & chewy. Lots of roasted malts, sweet body. Leather, tobacco, pecans, very mild licorice, soy sauce umami, & dark chocolate.

2023 freshie and it is pretty hot. Tasty, but I think it will be much better next year.

I don't know if it is me or if this beer is getting too sweet and lost its stoutness

A classic big boy banger. So rich and intense (and boozy). This is beer for cold days.

LCI - Dogfish Head ā€˜Analog-A-Go-Go’ festival last weekend. Columbia Model Q Graphophone, circa 1899. Portable, complete with a solid wood carrying case. Wouldn’t be a proper Analog-A-Go-Go festival without at least one on display playing big band tunes!

Good chocolate flavor, doesn’t have the bite that something of this ABV would normally have. Easy to drink
