Veranda share 11.05.23. 2nd brew opened, it’s going to be a long evening w/ these boys 😁! Damn - this 2010 drinking like a Barleywine as we would expect: 13 yrs young. Thank you Brandon M.! Reminds me we need a vertical share of these from my cellar!

#CellarTurdSunday continues… this is fine, it’s not especially stout-like but its pretty solid. Jimmy brought it and nailed the description by calling it a stout-old ale blend.

My 2d of 2 bottles purchased April 2010. I drank one at 5 years and gave it a 5. Still a 5 after 11 years. Incredible layers of flavors. Amazing cellared beer.

Held up pretty well all things considered but definitely veering toward the cardboard side of things at this point. Don’t sit on your big beer forever folks.

More heat, less carbonation, and more dark fruit/fig flavor compared to 2011. Very well done

Sweetness has really come through. Tastes like malty chocolate figs. Huge fan.

All about the dark fruits in this one. Raisin is the dominant flavor. Rich dark and heavy pour. Still had a little booziness left. Definitely got better with age. What a smooth treat! Lucky to have good friends that share!!

Holy sht did this age well. Tastes like perfect brandy. Had the 2009 this Easter and it was starting to turn. Maybe 10 years is the magic point

One of the last of my stash. Still excellent — chocolately malty with some umami flavors thrown in. Delightful.

A little thin, but it's a lovely chocolate sauce stout. Very easy to drink and surprisingly so!

Cheery fig beef jerky. Raisin, bourbon, chocolate, smoke, tobacco. There's so much in this. It's fantastic still at this age!
